What ÖSD certifies
The Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch (ÖSD) certification attests the level of German language competence according to the international standard created by the Council of Europe, used to assess and describe language skills objectively.
The ÖSD diploma officially certifies written and oral comprehension and production.
Structured over six main levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2), it is used in educational, academic and professional contexts to measure listening, reading, oral and written production skills.
Some Italian universities accept ÖSD to recognise language credits in German courses and/or partial exemptions from language exams.
